Pride Month 2020: We’re Taking This Digital

Islington’s Pride and friends at Pride London 2017

It’s Pride Month! Time to celebrate the LGBTQ+ community and raise awareness for LGBTQ+ rights. Like many others we’ve had to re-evaluate how we celebrate this year. Although we can’t be gathering for Pride parties, festivals, parades and other events this month it’s still important that we celebrate Pride and draw attention to the campaign for LGBTQ+ equality. It’s particularly important that we reflect on the history of gay rights movements and the people central to those movements. Take a look at what we’ve got going on.

Past and Future

Read A Pride Month Like No Other: Our Past and Future to find out a little about the Stonewall Uprising and also what the Islington’s Pride project has in store to commemorate LGBTQ+ heritage in Islington.

Pride Party on The Sims

The Islington’s Pride team would normally be preparing (getting excited) for Pride events and as we won’t be able to do that this year some of that energy has prompted a foray into creating a Sims Pride Festival. Check out our Islington’s Pride The Sims Pride Festival.

Decided to also give it a go? We would love to hear about your experiences and see your pics.
