LGBTQ Film Day at the British Museum

Our brilliant partners Forum+ are hosting a  film day on Saturday 22 September 2018 at the British Museum.

The documentaries ‘We We Have Rather Been Invaded’ by Ed Webb-Ingall and ‘Paris Is Burning’ will be screened.

The first film, “We Have Rather Been Invaded” looks at the legacy of Section 28, the role of activism, and the consequences from this piece of legislation still being felt today. Following the screening, there will be a panel discussion including Lisa Powers and David .

“Paris Is Burning” is a documentary film which focuses on drag queens living in New York City and their “house” culture, which provides a sense of community and support for the flamboyant and often socially shunned performers.
